Optimize your Kia Optima experience by staying up-to-date with regularly scheduled maintenance

For years now, the Kia Optima has been one of the most reliable sedans here at our Duluth, GA dealership. But reliability is a two-way street, because it's not just how well the Kia Optima is constructed, but also how well it's maintained by its driver. Fortunately, by staying on top of the Kia manufacturer-recommended maintenance for your Kia Optima, you can unlock its full potential and longevity, and we'd love to be both your provider and your guide in that regard here at Rick Case Kia.

Here's what you need to do when you when your Kia Optima hits 30K, 60K, and 90K miles

  • Get both the cabin air filter and engine air cleaner filter inspected and replaced if necessary.
  • Have a test performed on the braking system for Kia Optima, checking components like the brake lines, connections, calipers, brake discs, and brake pads.
  • Check for battery corrosion and have a certified Kia service advisor perform a battery test
  • Get an oil change using only synthetic oil. Make sure you replace the oil filter using a Kia OEM-approved oil filter.
  • Replenish any necessary  fuel additives for your Kia Optima. Additionally, it's a good idea to have the fuel system inspected, making sure to cover the fuel tank air filter, vapor hose and fuel filler cap, and all fuel lines, hoses, and connections.
  • Have any fluids checked, flushed, or topped off as may be necessary, including dual-clutch transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant. This is also a good time to check for leaks or cracks in any of the fluid delivery lines
  • Get the exhaust system on your Kia Optima tested and inspected

Here's a few other irregular maintenance milestones to keep an eye out for with your Kia Optima…

  • Replace the spark plugs on Kia Optima at 97,500 miles
  • At the 60,000-mile mark, have the drive belts inspected for your Kia Optima, and return for subsequent inspections every 15,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first
  • Depending on which Kia Optima powertrain or trim you have chosen, your Kia service advisor may recommend additional regular maintenance. For all your questions and concerns about Kia Optima manufacturer-scheduled maintenance, don't hesitate to speak to them.
